Obituary for Walter Perry Jr.

Walter W. Perry Jr. was born September 21, 1934 in Starkville, Mississippi to Walter W. Perry Sr. and Lillie Fields Perry. He was the oldest of 4 siblings. He was baptized at an early age. He was joined in Holy Matrimony to the former Magnolia Curtis for 57 years and from this union was born their only child Marjorie Perry Lodge. Walter and Magnolia moved to St. Louis in 1957. He was a steelworker for Granite City Steel until he retired after 32 years of service. Walter continued to work after retirement faithfully doing various jobs for his neighbors and friends. Also he was faithful to his gardening hobby which yielded him supplemental income located among other farmers on Hanley Road. Walter transitioned from this life to the next on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at his home in the presence of his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his mother father, brother Henry Lee Perry and sister Jessie Lee Taylor. He leaves to mourn, his loving wife Magnolia; his daughter Marjorie; one son-in-law Gary; his sister Betty Johnson (John Eddie); grandchildren Brittany and Gary II; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives. Interment Lake Charles Cemetery
