He was the first of two sons born to Vincent Thomas and Debra (Booker) Thomas. Vincent's father preceded him in death (2002). His younger brother Andre' J. Thomas also preceded him in 2003. Vincent was baptized on January 4th, 2009 at Greater Grace Church, Larry O. Jones, Pastor. Though he formerly attended St. Louis Christian Center he began to really seek the Lord in his final months. Vincent attended St. Louis Public elementary schools and Kirkwood High School until 1992. While raising his son Davion (affectionately called "Fat Jack") and his daughter Devonn (who he called "Weetie"), short for sweetie) he met and married Frances O. Williams on September 19, 2004. He loved her and her beautiful daughter A'Neitra. To this union two more children were born, Vincent III and Ashlei. Vincent found his niche in the insurance industry. His last trip was to hurricane Ike in Texas. Vincent had a charm and a quick wit about him. He could make you laugh twice, once when you heard it and later when you thought about it. Vincent loved his family and really encouraged learning. He also enjoyed the role of hero and tried to be that for his extended family and his long time friends. A wealth of gratitude goes out to those who listened to and prayed for Vincent during his illness. Vincent leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife, Frances and five children; A'Neitra, Davion, Devonn, Vincent III and Ashlei, his loving mother Debra M. Thomas, three sisters; Brittany, Dominque and Jacinta, grandparents Alert J. Thomas and Arther and Eloise Booker, mother-in-law La'Rethia S. Collette, father-in-law Alton Williams (Dorita), sister-in-law Nakia (Reese) Smith, Aunts and Uncles Lynn Booker, Nellie Kent, Felix M. Lee, Audrey (Carlton) Peterson, Helen (Vincent) Pitts, Yvette Booker, Carmen Peterson, Andrea (James ) Williams, Michele (Michael) Bryant of Atlanta, GA, Antoinette (Keith) Brown and Dionne Thomas, one nephew; Andre' J. Thomas, two nieces; Adrianna J. Thomas and Jasmine Smith, seventeen first cousins, five great aunts and one great uncle and Tyanna Williams (special sister-in-law).
