Obituary for Sidney Costello Mr. Jr.

Services: Friday, June 29, 2012, 9:00 a.m. Mass St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 701 N. 18th St., St. Louis, Missouri 63103 Interment: Friedens Cemetery Sidney King Costello Jr., 76 years young, died at his Los Angeles, California home, on Thursday, June 21, 2012, peaceful in his sleep. Born October 16, 1935, to the union of Sidney and Gertrude Costello in St. Louis, Missouri he lived there most of his life, until July 2011 when he moved to Los Angeles, California with his daughter. He was united in holy matrimony to Myrtle Pleas who preceded him in death. To this union, two children were born Sidney Costello III and Renale Costello. Later he married Kathy Tate who became the mother to his three children Sanchez Tate, Reco Costello and Genee’ Costello. He was the fifth child of 14 siblings, his mother, father, son Reco Costello and 8 siblings preceded him in death. He was introduced to Christ through the Catholic Church at a young age and 2006 he rededicated his life at West Angeles Church of God and Christ in Los Angeles California. He was educated in the St. Louis public school system, attended Vashon High School then enrolled in Basic Institute of Technology and was certified HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning). He dedicated over twenty years in the industry and loved it. He worked at Village North Apartments as a Maintenance Supervisor until retirement. More importantly he loved his family with a genuine and constant love. He loved to share stories and talk, getting your attention was easy for him because he would talk to you from a loving place in his heart. That same heart was youthful until the end of his days. His body just couldn’t keep up and it was time for his body to rest while his spirit lives on eternally. Daddy we all will miss your smile, your silliness and your loooong conversations. You leave us with a legacy that will never be forgotten! He leaves to continue his legacy, three sisters, Rev. Juanita Kent, Kathy Dillard and baby sis Faith Burt; one brother Donald Costello; four children Sidney Costello, Renale Costello, Sanchez Tate and Genee’ Costello. Grandchildren; Tiffany Kirkland, Heath Christian, Kianna Hogan, Sanchez Tate Jr, Annakiya Costello; host great grandchildren; Nephew and Roadog Emmitt Cstello; Host of nieces, nephews, cousins and best friend Donald Reed
