Obituary for Shirley Johnson

Let not your heart be troubled; ye beleive in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many manions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and recieve you unto myself; that where I am there ye may be also. John 14:1-4 Services for Shirely Ann Johnson are as follows: Visitation will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Granberry Morturary,Inc., 8806 Jennings Station Road, St. Louis, MO 63136 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Gospel Power Christian Church, 7005 Ascension Drive, Northwoods, MO 63121 at 10:00 a.m. On November 17, 1951, an Angel was sent from Heaven disguised as a human. A gift and a blessing to the worlds most greatest man and woman. Woodrow and Lorine Sinclair. Right in their own home. Whom they named Shirley Ann Sinclair. Shirley was loved and adored by her grandparents. The proud William (Papa Willie) and the elegant Elizabeth (Mama Sis) McKinney. Shirl was a very intelligent and bright young lady. With the gifts of God to along. She attended Vashon High School. She then later in life proved that it was never to late. At the age of 50, Shirley received her G.E.D. and continued her education studying theology and sociology. Believing by faith that she could one day see her dream of A House Of A Second Chance. Shirley retired from St. Luke’s Hospital in 2008 of thirty long years. Then started at St. Mary’s in 2009. This earthly Angle was baptized by the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost by Rev. T.R. Taylor on a warm, summer day in 1973. Shirley was given the nickname “Moses” by her oldest brother, Rev. John L. Sinclair, Sr. But he always knew that Arron, Shirley’s compadre and sister, Margret would be right by her side. Shirley was a true warrior for Christ. She would say, “If it ain’t Christ, it aint right.” She was or-dained in 1995. In June of 2007, God blessed Shirley with a special lost love of 37 years; her husband and best friend, Robert Lee Johnson. Who would have thought. See what God can do! On Thursday, November 8, 2012, Shirley the Angel was called home where she was greeted by her Heavenly Father, wonderful parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, a courageous nephew, her rock and sister, and a baby boy saying “Welcome Home Mamma, Welcome Home.” Shirley is now awaiting: her marvelous help-mate, Robert Sr.; five truly gifted children ~ Reginald (Malissa), Tawana, Cory, Robert Jr. (Charee), and her miracle baby girl, Kelley; fifteen grandsons, one granddaughter, five gracious sisters, and four sweet sisters-in-law, four all teaching brothers and two loving brothers-in-law, one special baby’s mamma, a special niece, daughter and BFF (Lesia), a very special cousin, Roz, and the rest of her beautiful family and friends. So you see, Shirley, or Shell we say, (Shirlan) is loved and will be missed. Because when you really look at it we were blessed to have been held in the wings of that beautiful, beautiful Angel, Shirley.
