Obituary for Shirley Ingram

The Funeral Services for Ms. Shirley A. Ingram were held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 12Noon. Visitation began at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Funeral Service and Visitation were held at UCM The Church of Jesus Christ, 4492-96 Bircher Blvd, St. Louis, MO with Pastor Bernard Brown, officiating. Interment followed at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Shirley Antinita Ingram was born on September 26, 1965 to Shirley Burns and Leon Ingram in St. Louis, MO. Shirley attended University City public schools. She completed her school years at University City High School in the early 80's. Shirley confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at UCM The Church of Jesus Christ by Pastor Bernard Brown. Shirley loved caring for others and shared that passion in home care. She completed several nursing programs and began caring for elderly patients. Shirley was loved dearly by her many clients for the extraordinary care she gave to them. "Ann" as she was affectionately called, loved helping others and doing all that she could. She loved her family and friends and would spend joyous time listening to music, watching movies, and playing video and board games with them. What she enjoyed most was spending quality time with her family and best friend of over twenty years, Evita M. Smith. Those who knew her and Evita would consider them to be more like "sisters". Ann was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Vernia Inez Burns, her father, Leon Ingram, a daughter, Takenia Ingram and a brother, Albert Finerson. On Monday, April 26, 2010, Ann departed this life peacefully at Barnes Hospital around 9:30 p.m. after being ill for quite some time. She leave to cherish her memory, her mother; Shirley (Willard), daughter; Nikeyia, grandson; Demetrius, sisters; Victoria and Vernnita, brother; Willard (Janice), uncles, Phillip (Gennette), Carl (Shirley), aunt Judy, her soul mate; Anthony, one nephew, a host of nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends
