Richard E. Blocker received his homegoing call on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Beauvais on the Park where he had been for the past six years. He was born on November 9, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri to Richard and Sallie Blocker whom proceeded him in death along with sister Marinda Morris. Richard was the first of six children which includes two brothers and three sisters. He attended the St. Louis Public Schools. He has one son Israel Steele whose mother, Charlotte, proceeded Richard in death. He worked as a Lab Assistant for the City of St. Louis. Richard confessed his love for Christ at an early age under the Leadership of the late Rev. Jeremiah Baker. He leaves to cherish his memories: his son ~ Israel (Rachel); five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers ~ William (Dorothy) and Clarence Blocker; two sisters ~ Loretta Turner and Arnetta Blocker- Coleman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins friends and special friends of the Beauvais on the Park nursing home.
