Randy Jamar Jones was born on May 8, 1990 in St. Claire County, Illinois to Gwendolyn and Andre Redmond. Randy attended Jennings Public Schools. Randy was baptized at a young age at New Horizon 7th Day Christian Church. As an adult, Randy worked in many fields including landscaping, auto repair and construction. Randy loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved cooking and trying new things. He loved to play around and wrestle with his family and friends. It was nothing for him to pick you up and throw you over his shoulders. Randy loved kids. He became a surrogate father figure to many. He loved to sing and dance, even though that wasn't one of his strong suits. He had a great sense of humor. His laugh was infectious and his smile could light up a room. He had a generous nature and loved to help people. He will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. Randy was suddenly taken away from us on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Mary Redmond. He leaves to cherish his memories: father and mother ~ Gwendolyn and Andre Redmond; four children ~ Randy Jr., Kamari, Ethen and McKenzie; five siblings ~ Brandon, Andre,  Breanna, Darren and Deandre; special friend and the mother of his children ~ Lyncoya Tillman; godson ~ Jaquan Taylor; grandparents ~ Lillie and George Groves and Edward Lee; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
