Marie E Williams was born July 14, 1930 in Hollandale, MS to the late Moses Williams and Mary Brice. Marie was an only child and until her mother remarried. At that time she inherited a stepbrother, Aaron Brice. At an early age, she moved to St. Louis, MO. In 1950, she met R.C Gillespie. He preceded her in death in 1967. Marie confessed her life to Christ and was baptized. In 19**, she joined Lively Stone Missionary Baptist Church. During her time of moving she joined Greater Southside F.W.C under leadership Pastor Eugene Thomas. Marie was a loving woman. She raised 6 children alone after losing their father. She will be truly missed by us all. On Wednesday, July 02, 2014, she departed this life. She joins her parents, Uncle Jerry Anderson, her grandma, Virginia Banks, her stepbrother, Aaron Brice, three daughters, Pearl Williams, Annette Williams, Debra Merritt and her only son, Steve Williams. Marie leaves to cherish her memories; her daughters, Virginia Williams and Shirley Gilmore, 15 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren all of St. Louis, MO.; A close family member Rose Smith and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
