Obituary for Lula Enoex

Lula Enoex was born July 25,1920 to Charles Beck and Hatti Rummels-Beck their only child. Lula was mentored by her Aunt Julia Mae, she lost both parents by the early age of fifteen. She met her Lord and savior in 1935 and made it a life mission to share the gift of encouragement and hope to the homeless discouraged and imprisoned. She married John Louis Sullivan while residing in Madison Illinois. To this union God blessed them with ten children. In 1954 following the resolve of her first marriage she moved to California met and married Paul George Enoex, to this union Ethel their last child was born. Lula embraced sunny California and began to cone her many gifts while training up her children. Los Angeles Trade Tech College prepared her culinary future. She perfected one of her favorite gifts. Became a school cafeteria manager for the Los Angeles City Schools and catered several prominent persons including the entertainment industry. Lula affectionately called Mother Enoex and Granny anthologized numerous recipes she chose to share. Her house became the place where loving fellowship, wise council and good food abound. She was involved in many Christian activities with the youth. And became a Religious Release instructor for the, Los Angeles city school. Lula became a member of West Angelus Church of God in Christ in 1961. She dedicated her life in sharing the gift of hospitality, organizing senior hospitality, youth hospitality and weddings at West Angelus Church of God in Christ. In her later years Paul and Lula moved back to the St. Louis area where they were warmly received by old and new friends together with several churches (Kinnerly Temple Church of God in Christ, Solomons Temple and Harvest Church.) Surrounded by friends and family Lula peacefully passed August 3, 2011 at 11:05 est. She leaves to cherish her memory eight children, Janet, Eddie, Lula, Mae, Raymond, Edgar, Cordelia (DeDe) and Ethel three step children Paul Junior, Paulette and Terry together with twenty-six grand children, fifteen great grand children and numerous relatives and friends. There are three deceased children, Jeanette, John and Regina .
