Obituary for Kelvin "California, Calo" Wayne

Kelvin Anthony Wayne was born February 22, 1956 in St. Louis Missouri. He was the second child born to the union of Booker T. and Joan (Cole) Wayne. Preceding him in deth were his parents; two brothers Marvin and Michael; and two sisters Carvetta and Sharon. Kelvin accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Berean Seventh Day Adventist Church. Kelvin was educated in the St. Louis Public Schools and later acquired an Associated Degree in Sociology and Carpentry. Kelvin was united in Holy Matrimoney three times which begot six beautiful daughters and one son. Kelvin, affectionately known as California, Calo, was a friend to many and shared his last. You had a friend for life in him. He worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the City of St. Louis and later found his calling for carpentry. He worked for Clark Properties from 1190 until 2004. He was dedicated to his love of carpentry. He became politically active while working with his mother's political campaigns. Kelvin, leaves to cherish his memories: Seven chilren; Kellie, Lakeshia, LatTrice, Katherine, Harold, Kayla, and Nicole; 10 grandchildren; six brothers; William, Terell (marilyn), Eric, Martez, Kerwin, and Robert of St. Louis, Missouri; three aunts, Barbara Jacobs, Shirly McCullough, and Rosa Thomas of St. Louis, Missouri, three unlces: Roger and Robert Cole of St. Louis, Missouri, and Leonard Cole of Atlanta, Georgia and a host of mieces, nephews, cousins, and frends; and his friend to the end David stidum. He also shared his heart with a special person, Lanie Perkins, who never left his side.
