Obituary for June Brooks

Visitation: Monday, May 24, 2011 10am Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 4114 W. Natural Bridge, Bishop Arthur Kelley, pastor Service: 12pm Interment: St. Peter's Cemetery June L. Brooks was born June Carrawell on March 18, 1940 to Beatrice and Joseph Carrawell. She was the eighth child of sixteen children. Both parents, three sisters, seven brothers and one son preceded her in death. After a long period of illness, she departed this life on May 15, 2011 at the home of her daughter. She was educated in the St. Louis Public School System. She worked at Barnes Jewish Hospital for 25 years. She was raised in a spiritual home. She confessed Christ at an early age. She was later married to Dauffus Jackson, Sr. and later married the late John Brooks. She leaves to cherish her memory; five children, Joseph (Lillian) Carrawell, Derrick (JoAnn) Carrawell, Diane Lucille Jones, Debbie B. Pruitt and Dauffus (Terneicesa) Jackson, Jr.; stepson, Phillip (Jacqueline)Jackson; stepdaughters, Mary Toliver, Beatrice Brown, Brunette Haymon, Flossie (Travis) Johnson; two sisters, Ruby Allen, Sally (Bill) Clay; three brothers, Walter Carrawell, Michael Carrawell and Arevell Carrawell; 21 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
