Obituary for John Williams

The visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2011 at 11am at New Life Family Church, 2849 N. Euclid, St. Louis, Mo Interment: 1:30pm Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery John Walter Williams was born to John Henry Williams and Mary Louise (Reynolds) Williams on September 17, 1949 in Greenville, Mississippi. Lil Walter was the 3rd of 6 children. He came to St. Louis, Missouri in 1955 at the age of 6. He accepted Christ at that age. He attended St. Louis Public schools and graduated from Vashon High School. He enlisted in the Air Force shortly after graduating. Lil Walter’s parents, Mary and John, two brothers, Freddie and Bud, one sister, Arrow, one niece, Denise (Lady) and one nephew, Joe (Fat Daddy) preceded him in death. Lil Walter met Brenda at Vashon, where they became a couple, then married and had a family. During his latter part of his journey, he resided with his sister, Sheilah, who took care of him, during his battle with cancer. She was with him when he expired. He leaves to cherish his memories in St. Louis, Mo, his wife, Brenda; two sons, John and Deshawn, three daughters, Angela, Glenda and Leslie; two sisters, Sheilah and Alice Williams; a special great aunt, Alice White; nieces, Tonya (DeRun) McMaller, Tash (Treasure), Georie (Antione), Marsha and Aisha; nephews, Henry, Aubrey, Travis, Dushay, Avery, Johnnie, Donnie and Mike; a host of grandchildren, especially Darryl who’s serving in Iraq; grandnephews and nieces; a very dear special friend of 50 years, Jerome Turner (Choc) and Joe Sloan.
