Obituary for John Williams

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1 John Williams was born January 29, 1947 in Saint Louis, Missouri to the late Rev. Frank Montgomery, Sr. and Edna Austine Williams. He was the youngest of twelve siblings; nine brother and two sisters. John grew up in Kinloch, Missouri where he was affectionately known as “Big John”. With the help of his brothers and friends, John overcame life’s obstacles and lived a comfortable and enjoyable life. He professed a faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized by Elder Wesley Bates and attended Everlasting Light Church in Saint Louis, Missouri. John was preceded in death by both parents, two sisters and four brothers. John was the paramour of Deborah Owens and together they had their daughter, Lantania. After John and “Deb” separated, they always remained friends. John leaves to cherish in his memory: daughter ~ Lantania; faithful companion ~ Deborah (Lantania’s mother); five brothers ~ Willie (Barbara), Larman, Alphonso (Shirley), Paul and Charles of Detroit, Michigan; ten nieces; six nephews; a special friend ~ Miss Haddie; and a host of relatives and friends.
