Born on January 15, 1941 in Prescott, Arkansas to Ike and Dora Turner who preceded him in death, James was the second of five children which included 4 sisters. He worked as an over the road truck driver for several companies and Jim’s Auto where he loved to work on cars. As a hobby he ran model RC boats and airplanes. James confessed his love for Christ in 1984 under the leadership of Rev. Sammie E. Jones at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He attended weekly bible study with friends at First Baptist Church of Webster Groves. James leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 49 years Loretta and his son Bryant.
