Obituary for Floyd Fleming

Floyd Edward Fleming was born to Arvell Fleming and Lee Evelyn Perkins on Friday, October 23, 1953 at Homer G. Phillips Hospital. Floyd was the third child born to Arvell and Lee. His parents along with his siblings (Raymond and Elizabeth) preceded him in death. Floyd attended St. Louis Public Schools and completed some courses at Forest Park Community College. He joined the U.S. Marines on November 9, 1973, and was honorably discharged a year later. Floyd was employed by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs for several years from which he received early retirement. Floyd met Rosalyn Vivian Harris on June 21, 1996; they were united in holy matrimony on March 14, 2011 at Trinity Full Gospel Ministry Church. No children were born to this union; Floyd was dad and grand-dad to Rosalyn’s children. Floyd leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Rosalyn; his sister – Sandra; four brothers – Lorenzo (Jeanne), Ira, Steven, Derrick (Rose); 4 step-sons - Ossie, Brandon, Phillip and Darrin (preceded him in death); 2 step-daughters - Yulandra and Desiree’; 13 grandchildren; 6 sister-in-law’s - Ann, Denise, Yvette, Pam, Carol and Bridgette (preceded him in death); 2 brother-in-law’s - Horace & Herman; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
