Obituary for Effie Williams

Funeral Service for Effie Mae Williams, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2010 at Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 5503 Gilmore Avenue, Saint Louis, Missouri 63136 with Rev. Titus Irving, Pastor/Officiant. Visitation was at 9:00 a.m. Interment at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saint Louis, MO. Effie Mae Williams was born June 25, 1945 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was the third child born to William Jones and Effie Gill. Effie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Mack Williams, two sons; Rodney and Gregory, one grandchild and four great grandchildren. Effie confessed her belief in Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized. Later in life she rededicated her life to Christ. She received her education in the Saint Louis Public School system. Effie was united in Holy Matrimony to Mack Williams. She was the proud loving mother of seven children. She was a loyal and honored grandmother and great grandmother who will be forever loved. Effie worked in the health care industry and was a Certified Nurses Assistant. Her memorable moments of working was caring for her patients whom she simply adored at North Shore Nursing Home. She retired from North Shore in 2000. Effie was full of compassion with a warm approach in life. Everyone who knew her, loved her. She was born with a sense of purpose and she lived it well. She loved and enjoyed her family and we love her deeply. Effie Mae Williams heard the Master's call and answered on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 10:30 p.m. in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her loving memory, two sons; Cleophus and Tommie, three daughters; Cassandra, Estella and Felicia, twenty-five(25) grandchildren, twenty-six (26) great grandchildren, a special long life friend, Donnie, a loving cousin, Jeff, and a host of cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
