Service: 12pm Interment: Lake Charles Park Cemetery On the morning of April 7, 2012 at 9:30, Effie Brown was called home to heaven. Effie was born November 7, 1925 in Wilmar, Arkansas. She was the sixth child of six children born to Addie Mae and William Ceaphus Folk. Effie was united in Holy Matrimony to James Edward Brown on Mary 17, 1944, who preceded her in death in 1978. Five wonderful and loving children were born to this union. Effie professed her belief in Christ at an early age. After moving to Rancho Cucamonga, California, she became a member of Abundant Living Family Church. She was a nurse for most of her adult life and retired from Missouri State Mental Hospital after more than 25 years of service. Effie moved to Rancho Cucamonga, California in 1988 where she lived until she became ill in 2000. She moved back to St. Louis where she lived until she went home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Brown, daughter, Norma Jean Brown, parents, Addie Mae and William Ceafus Folk; and five siblings, Catherine, Mamie, Rebe, Minnie and Lonnie Mae. Effie leaves to cherish her memories, four daughters, Janice Woods, Maxine Lewis, Barbara Brown and Sandra Frieson; 12 grandchildren, Donald, Anthony (Yvette), Chaundra (Ellis), Lisa, Bridgette, Gregory (Antionette), Marla, Chanetay (Darian), Hezekiah (Cee Cee), Yukia (LeAndre), April (Donnell), Ashley, and Paschia; 22 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
