Obituary for Doyle Logan Sr.

Doyle Logan Sr. (Boo) was born May 22, 1930 in Earle, Arkansas to the late Willie Sr. and Carrie Logan. Doyle was a twin to Hoyle Logan Sr. At an early age, he moved to St. Louis, MO. In 1967, he met Elizabeth Robinson, and they were married. She preceded him in death in 1993. Doyle confessed his life to Christ and was baptized. In 1975, he joined Midwest Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of his brother-in-law, Rev. E. G. Robinson, where he served as a Deacon and Usher. Doyle was a warm friendly person. Many of us knew his as “Boo or Uncle Boo”. He loved singing under a tree with his brother, LB, Hoyle and sometimes Bill. He will be truly missed by us all. On Monday, January 6, 2013, he departed this life. He joins his parents, seven sisters: Jessie Logan(Aunt Tete), Anne Bell Logan, Frankie Logan Clark, Georgie Lee Logan, Mildred Logan, Reba Logan, Opil Logan; five brothers: Hoyle Logan Sr.(twin), LB Hogan, Willie Logan Jr.(Bill), Clifford Logan, Charlie Logan; two daughters Olivia Logan, Debra Ann Logan Shearer. He leaves to cherish his memories; one son, Doyle Logan Jr., one daughter Denise Logan of St. Louis, MO.; two step-sons: Edward G. Robinson (Kansas City, MO), Timothy Robinson (St. Louis, MO.); two sister-in-laws: Amanda Logan, Luvenia Logan (LV) both of Earle, Arkansas. Nine grandchildren: DaShon Logan, Lamar Shearer Jr., Damond Shearer, Elizabeth Phyllis Shearer, Shawnae Cody, Ashley Logan, Anton Logan, Amber Logan, Dasha Mitchell,all of St. Louis, MO.; A close family member Nicole Newland and a host of nieces,nephews and cousins.
