Obituary for Doris Askale

Doris Askale was born April 12, 1954, in Little Rock Arkansas to Bernestine Barnes and Sterling Mosley. She departed this life on Thursday, March 22, 2018, in her home surrounded by family due to pancreatic cancer. She was known by “Gail”. She accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at a young age. Doris attended the St. Luis Public School System. She worked as a banquet server at The Hyatt Regency for many years where she was respected and dearly loved. She loved to laugh and smile with everyone she came in contact with. She enjoyed baseball and spending time with her grand- children. Gail could fix anything that was broken around the house. Gail had the spirit of a giant and feared little. She had a passion for cooking. She enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas, which was her favorite. But most importantly she shared her caring heart with everyone. Gail leaves to cherish her memory: her mother ~ Bernestine Carter; her children ~ Thaddeus Barnes and Franchon Barnes; her grandchildren ~ Camry Barnes, Jalen Bolden, Alexandria Barnes and Bryce Cooper; her siblings ~ Larry Barnes, Donna Stancil, Rosalind Smith, Vicki Williams, Angela Stevenson and George France; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
