Obituary for Curtis Johnson

Curtis L. Johnson was born March 19, 1946 in Deeson, Mississippi to the proud parents of Arthur Johnson and Georgia Louis. Curtis attended Bob Woods School in Gunnison, Mississippi. As a young man, Curtis worked as a farmer. He took pride in the planting of crops and watching them grow until harvest time. Curtis worked farming until he retired at the age of 65. Curtis loved the Lord. Curtis was a very strong, loving, humble, and caring person. He got along with everybody and dearly loved his family and friends. Curtis was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Louis, father, Authur Johnson, sisters, Josephine and Ethel Mae and his brothers, Authur and Johnny Lee Johnson, Robert Earl Louis and Frank Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memories: four sisters ~ Minnie Phillips (of St. Louis, Missouri), Rosie Johnson (of St. Louis, Missouri), Pearleatha West (of St. Louis, Missouri) and Annie Walker (of North Carolina); and two brothers ~ Freddy Shelley (of Waukegan, Illinois) and Willie Louis (of St. Louis, Missouri). He also leaves to cherish his memories: his granddaughter ~ Erica King-Green; two sons ~ Eric King and Curtis Buchanan; six step- grandkids; one god-sister ~ Evelyn King; a special friend ~ Linda Hines (of Clarksdale, Mississippi); and a host of relatives and friends.
