Obituary for Angela Miles-Scott

Angela Denise Miles-Scott was born on March 29, 1964 to the union of Johnnie Miles, Sr. and Mary Lee (Townsend) Miles in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The family moved to St. Louis, Missouri, while Angela was a young child. Here in St. Louis, she attended Stowe Middle School, Sumner High School and graduated in 1985 from the Gateway 7000 Club. Angela continued her educational journey with the University of Phoenix, graduating in 2010 with a BSN and graduating from Everest College in 2011 with a Medical Administrative Assistant Degree. Angela was employed with Laidlaw/First Student School Bus Co from August, 1992 thru October, 2010. She became an entrepreneur in 2004 with her business, Helping Hands Helping Others and Lareney Home Health Services. Angela also found the time to be licensed as a real estate agent, paralegal and a notary. Angela also held the position as Committee Woman of the Twenty-second Ward of St. Louis, Missouri. In 2003, Angela married Maurice Scott, Jr. Angela loved shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. On May 16, 2014, Angela Denise Miles-Scott departed this life and joined her aunt, Sarah L. Brown, who preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Maurice Scott, Jr; children, Lakeitha Janise Miles (Thomas III) Phillips, Sharie Shantay Reed, Britney Lamanda Miller, Taja L. Goode and Jeffery Goode, Jr.; 13 grandchildren, Anitria Hall, I’ilyah Reed, Thomas Phillips IV, Kenya Calvert, Tyesha Phillips, Keitha Teed, Nyla Miles, Taylor Phillips, Armani Goode, Ari Christian Stewart, Maurice Scott, Jr., Malachi Scott and Breonna Scott; mother, Mary L. Townsend Miles; father, Johnnie Miles, Sr.; siblings, Jacqueline Miles, Lasanda Miles, Johnnie Miles, Jr., Ronnie Miles and Lavette Miles; sons-in-law, Maurice Q. Scott, Sr., Brandon Scott, Yashun Scott and Christian Ari Stewart; numerous other relatives and friends.
