Celebrating the Life of Trenton Brown
LIFE REFLECTIONS
First Inning: February 19, 1990
Ninth Inning: June 25, 2026
Trent's story began on February 19, 1990, when he was born to Romieka Brown and Leon Finch at Regional Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. It didn't take long for the world to realize Trent was entirely one-of-a-kind. Most don't know this, but at age 5, he was tested and found to be a genius. At around that same time, he confessed his hope in Christ, igniting a lifelong faith and a passion for spreading the good news to just about anyone willing to listen.
Growing up in the St. Louis City and County Public School districts, Trent marched (and skated) to the beat of his own drum. At just 11 years old, his natural musical brilliance landed him on the local news for his incredible ability to play multiple instruments and produce his own beats. While he was passionate about many subjects, History was always his favorite, fueling a brilliant mind that loved to analyze the world around him.
Trent lived life at full throttle. He had an absolute passion for hot rides, drag races, old-school cars, and the art of building and repairing them. While he loved to travel and explore, the true love of his life was a pristine, white 1985 C4 Corvette. When he wasn't under a hood you could find him out fishing, appreciating the "green pastures" of the earth (if you know, you know), or showing off his flawless skills on a skateboard, roller-skates, or rollerblades. He also had a passion for singing and dancing, and was known to burst into song and dance whenever the opportunity arose.
To the neighborhood, Trent was affectionately known as the "Hood Veterinarian." He possessed an uncanny, almost magical connection with animals and was known for bringing home an eclectic rescue crew of dogs, turtles, frogs, and snakes. You could ask him about almost any creature on God's green earth, and he could give you a full encyclopedia breakdown on the spot.
But beneath his outgoing, vibrant personality was the heart of a true warrior for others. Trent was a fierce, uncompromising advocate for special needs individuals. He absolutely refused to tolerate even a shred of disrespect toward those facing physical or intellectual challenges, standing tall as a protector and a voice for the vulnerable.
His brilliant mind and passion for justice eventually led him to Saint Louis University, where he successfully completed the "Street Law" Law & Justice program. Trent possessed a legendary, unshakeable determination; he simply would not rest his case until he rest his case (and if you know, you know).
Trenton leaves behind a rich legacy of love, laughter, and brilliant memories. He is survived by his devoted mother, Romieka Brown; his siblings Marcus Hicks, Tre'Anna Brown, LeNisha & LeNitra Finch. Two grandmothers, Geneva Brown and Flora Geeter-Finch and a vast, loving host of nieces, family, friends, and loved ones who will miss his bright light every single day.
He has rested his case here on earth, but his spirit is still skating, dancing, and singing in the presence of the Lord.
