Thomas Weathersby was born on March 26, 1942 in Silver Creek, Mississippi. Thomas was the youngest of ten children born to Dan and Jennie Lucille Hooker Weathersby. Thomas graduated from Miller Elementary School in 1956 in Silver Creek. He attended McCullough High School in Monticello, Mississippi, where he graduated in 1960. Thomas moved to St. Louis in September of 1960. In 1964, Thomas was the third African-American to be admitted to Ranken Technical College, where he graduated with a degree in Engineering. Thomas was employed with IBM for nearly 30 years. At age six, Thomas confessed his faith and belief in Christ and joined the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Silver Creek, Mississippi. In St. Louis, Thomas was a member of the Central Baptist Church, It was at Central Baptist Church where he met Earlene Thomas. Thomas and Earlene started to date in 1962 and were married October 18, 1964 at Central Baptist Church, by the Rev T. E. Hundley. To this union, three children were born. On August 19, 2009 at 7:37 pm, Thomas transitioned home to be with our Lord with his family at his side. His parents and siblings, Ikey, Wilbert, and Irene all preceded him in death. Thomas leaves to cherish his memories: his wife: Earlene, three (3) children: Thomas Eric, Craig Earl, and Cher Elizabeth; five (5) sisters: Fay Parkman, Lucille Sims, Ida Fields, Frankie Jones, and Rosie Jackson; one (1) brother: Walter B Weathersby; eight (8) Grandchildren, one (1) Great-Grandson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
