Samuel Jones

July 6, 1941 — September 10, 2022

Mr. Samuel L. Matthew Jones, the second child of the late Samuel and Alcester Jones, was born July 6, 1941, in St. Louis MO. He received his education in St. Louis public schools. In 1963, he was drafted into the Vietnam war. In 1965, he was honorably discharged. In 1966- 2006 he was employed at McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) for 40 years. Samuel was an intelligent, very outspoken, kindhearted, thoughtful, peaceful, independent, ambitious, sophisticated man. He loved to enjoy time with family watching sports, bowling, listening to live music (Blues and Jazz), traveling and senior citizen bingo. He was the man who was always there to assist others and provide. He truly will be missed.
Samuel departed this life on September 10, 2022, at 7:14 AM at Blue Circle Rehab Home. He leaves to cherish fond memories sister Barbara Jones, Brother Roland (Rosie), sister Rachelle, sister Ava (Andrew), one brother Eugene Jones preceded him in death, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a dear special friend Mary Fondren.
