Raquel Ben

Ben, Raquel Sinovia USAF Vet, 43, passed at the VA Med Cent STL MO, 24 July 15. Born Grand Turk, TCI 23 Jan 72 to Edison Brooks (Grace Ann) & the late Merril Hawkins Ben (Lawrence). Graduated from Friendly SHS in Ft. Wash, MD, attended UMES and earned a BA from Park University. Sr Airman Ben received the USAF Training Ribbon, Longevity Service Award, Outstanding Unit Award & Good Conduct Medal. Raquel completed the IL Nurse Aide Training Program & worked at the Red Cross & Barnes Jewish Hospital. Kelly enjoyed baking cupcakes and playing fetch with Logan. Raquel was called home early due to Scleroderma. Survived by her loving father, Lawrence Ben (Merril, d.), beloved sisters Lavena Ben & Natasha Ben-Kamara (Alusine) & dear nephew, Andrew Kamara. Many happy memories are held by her Grandparents; Annie Brooks (Stanley, d.), Helena Hawkins (Vincent, d.) & Clarence & Iona Ben (d.) & a host of relatives & friends. Interment: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery STL MO, Fri, 31 July 15 at 1100.
