Marcialyn Clinkscale

Marcialyn “Marcia” Clinkscale was born January 21, 1960 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Earlean Hardeman and the late Robert King. At the age of twelve, she relocated to Saint Louis, Missouri where she attended elementary and high school. Marcia accepted Christ at a young age under the leadership of Reverend T. R. Taylor. Her deep and abiding love for God encouraged her to answer her calling to become an ordained minister in 2011. Marcia loved spending time with her family, always willing to lend her heart, hands and home to anyone in need. She had such a magnetic personality, anyone who came to know her was instantly captivated by her beautiful and loving spirit. Whenever she would speak, people would hold on to her every word. She was more than just a mother; she was a teacher, a comforter, a warm embrace, a woman of smiles and wisdom. On Friday, April 26, 2013, Marcia’s Heavenly Father peacefully called her home while surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her brother, Andre in 1962. She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving mother ~ Earlean; three daughters ~ Candice and Channay Brown, Keara Clinkscale; one special daughter ~ Tanisha Jones; two sons ~ Brandon Brown and Byron Clinkscale; two special sons ~ Robert Hurst, III and Martez Hurst; seven sisters ~ Cachet (Veldez), Rashonda, Dorothy, Stephanie, Robinann, Nedra and Katrina; five brothers ~ Derwin, Johnny, Maurice, Julius and Louis; seven grandchildren ~ Keion, DeAsia, Brianna, Brandon Jr., Byron Jr., Malik, Nivea and soon to be Baby Beckham arriving July 2013; and a host of nieces and nephews. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” 2 Timothy 4:7
