Magnolia was born on February 5, 1934, in Pope, Mississippi, to William Curtis Sr. and Faireallen (McCorkle) Curtis. She was the oldest daughter of seven siblings in this union. She was baptized at an early age and remained faithful to the Lord until her death.
She was joined in holy matrimony to Walter W. Perry Jr. for 57 years until his death, and from this union was born their only child, Marjorie (Perry) Lodge. Walter and Magnolia moved to St. Louis in 1957.
She was a professional seamstress and retired from Melbourne Mfg. Co. Inc., where she made women's purses and handbags. She also worked at other clothing manufacturers and made most of her own attire. She worked with her husband, Walter, canning food from his garden located among other farmers on Hanley Rd.
Magnolia transitioned from this life to the next on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at her home in the presence of her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and by her brothers Samuel, Mosers, Aaron, Joseph, and Sisters Mollie and Pollie. She leaves to mourn her daughter, Marjorie; son-in-law, Gary; and grandchildren, Brittany and Gary II. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
