Levesta Williams

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 12 noon at the Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 5503 Gilmore, St. Louis, MO. The interment will follow immediately at the National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, MO On November 11, 1940 Ben and Quantilla Williams (both preceded him in death) were blessed with the birth of their son LeVesta L. Williams better know as "Lee" to all. Lee was a family man and was the last child of his parents to depart from us. Preceding him in death was five sisters; Esther, Darnella, Nellie, Minnie Lee, Josephine, six brothers; Abe, Ben, John A., Sylvester, Walter and Lushious. Lee was a High School graduate. He had a passion for music and enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. He was a man with many talents and trades. Lee could do anything that he put his mind to. One of his most enjoyed professions was an auto mechanic. He also was a truck driver. Lee served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. After leaving the military, Lee met Rosalie Hughes, and they expanded both their families to build a life together. There was one daughter Jacquelyn Irving and one grandson Gregory Irving that preceded him in death. Lee leaves to cherish his memory four sons, Rev. T.D (Ella), LeAndre (Regina), Leslie, (Rosalind) Stacy, four girls, Rosemary (Rodger), Dorothy, Denise (William) Tracy. He also leaves a host of granchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will remember him forever. Also to cherish his memory are special caregivers, Alicia "Lisa" and best friend Fred.
