Jimmie Mcgee

Mr. Jimmie Lee McGee was born April 8, 1939 in Artesia, Mississippi to the late George and Melissa McGee. He departed this life on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1960, Jimmie relocated to St. Louis, Missouri. He was employed by C. Rallo Contracting Company, Inc. After 42 years of service, he retired in 2001. Jimmie enjoyed fishing, canning and gardening. After relocating to St. Louis, Missouri, Jimmie met Minnie Foxx and was united in Holy Matrimony. From this union, three sons were born, Kenneth Dewayne, Jimmie Tyrone and Kelvin Andrae. His other children are Regina Lucas of Fort Knox, KY, Jimmie Earl McGee of Stone Mountain, GA and Sharon Neal of St. Louis, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Emma Brown, Sarah Durant, Annie B. McGee and Maggie Sanders and two brothers, Sam McGee and George McGee, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving wife, Minnie McGee of St. Louis, MO; five sisters, Amelia Miller, Laura Hairston and Melissa Phillips (Lear), all of Columbus, MS, Christine Coleman and Helen Coleman of Artesia, MS; six brothers, Arthur McGee and John Coleman (Pearl) of Artesia, MS, Willie B. McGee and Sammie C. McGee (Sybil) of St. Louis, MO and Willie Coleman (Lisa) of Starkville, MS; one aunt, Ida Randle Washington of Columbus, MS; three grandchildren, LaRiecia McGee of Stone Mountain, GA, Phranci Williams of Fort Knox, KY and Javis McGee of St. Louis, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
