Jason "J Slim" Finney, age 31, passed away on November 30, 2010. Visitation and Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Mt. Zion M. B.Church, St. Louis, Missouri Interment was in St. Peter's Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. Jason Lavon Finney began his life on June 2, 1979 in Saint Louis, Missouri to Shirley A. Johnson and the late Bobbie L. Finney. He was also preceded in death by his grandmother Lorine Sinclair and his aunt Helen Hester. Jason was nurtured and educated in the parochial school system and later obtained his high school diploma which was one of his proudest accomplishments. Jason grew up with a strong Christian foundation under the leadership of Pastor John L. Sinclair. Jason was a young man with a great sense of humor with a warm and caring heart for all mankind. He had a special love for his family and friends. Jason departed this life on Tuesday, November 30, 2010. We take comfort in knowing that Jason ’s grandmother Jossie Finney made her transition from this life only hours later in Chicago, Illinois. Jason leaves to cherish his memories; four sons, Darrian, Javon, Jacobie and Dayon, his mother Shirley Johnson, step-father Robert Johnson, maternal grandfather, Woodrow Sinclair, four brothers, Brian, Reggie (Melissa) Corey, Robert, Jr. two sisters, Tawanna and Kelly, five uncles, Sam (Barbara), Woodie (Anita), Rev. John Sinclair (Gloria), Cordell and Graylene. Eight aunts, Frances, Margaret, Loretta (Juan) Lena (Jesse) Geraldine (Gary), Carolyn (George) Saundra and Sidney. A host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
