James Grant

The visitation for Eld. Grant,Jr. will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 from 9am until 11:45am at Communion Church Ministries, 1200 South Florissant Road of St. Louis, MO, 63121.  The service will start at 12pm.  The interment service with Military Honors will be at 2:30pm at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Elder James Grant, Jr. was born February, 9, 1959 in Benton Harbor, Michigan.  He confessed his love for Christ at an early age. He was also a minister at New Straightway Family Worship Center. James’ father, Mr. James Grant, Sr. and brother Zachary Grant, preceded him in death. James graduated from Vashon High School, then entered the United States Marine Corp. Later he met and married Michelle Johnson in May, 1995. He worked for the United States Postal Service since the age of 19. James leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Michelle Grant; a loving mother Mrs. Marie Grant; one daughter, Samoane Grant-Eastling (Brian); one step daughter, Shakira Cozart, two step-sons, David Lee Johnson (Stephenie) and DeAndre Johnson (LaKesha). Ten grandchildren, William, Kalvin, Aigner, Anthony, DeAndra, Michelle, Imani, DeAnna, Kayla and Demetrius. One aunt, Vernola Brown from Benton Harbor, Michigan.  Four sisters-in-law, Barbara Castille (Butch), Debra Hayes (Herb), Rhonda Watson (Louis), and Charlotte Johnson (Bishop Johnson). Four brothers-in-law, Charles Bates (Gail), Gary Johnson (Estella), Michael Johnson, and Randy Johnson (Estella) and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
