Elder Mosley

August 18, 1927 — September 22, 2017

Frank L. Mosley was born August 18, 1927 in Greenwood, Mississippi. He was the tenth child of eleven children and was preceded in death by both parents. Frank moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1948 where he obtained employment at the Granite City Steele Mill and became a member of the USW Union Local 50 in East St. Louis, Illinois and worked there for 40 years until he retired in 1992. Frank met and married the former Josephine on June 28, 1956. To this union one child was born. Frank began his spiritual walk with God by joining the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Greenwood under the leadership of Pastor Lee. When he moved to St. Louis, he continued his walk by joining Christ Temple Congregational Church under the leadership of Pastor Clarence Brown. Frank was truly a servant of God, he fulfilled his work in church through several committees such as the usher board and deacon board. During this service Frank felt his calling into the ministry and was ordained in 1963. His ministry brought him the opportunity to serve as assistant pastor for seven years. During this ministry he was pastor of Browns’ Temple for six years in Sparta, Illinois. When this service was completed, Frank joined Christ Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Bishop Louis C. Johnson and the current Bishop Leo Hardin. He served at Christ Temple for thirty-five years until his health became unmanageable and moved in with his daughter and joined Bible-Based Fellowship Church under the leadership of District Elder Delk L. Webb, Sr. He leaves to mourn his loss: a loving wife ~ Josephine; one daughter ~ Alice; son-in-law ~ Delk; two grandchildren ~ Kayla and Delk Jr.; one sister ~ Lillie; two sisters-in-law ~ Clara and Maggie; church family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
