Diane Earnest

Diane Lee Earnest, 76, of Troy, IL, formerly of East Peoria and Maryland Heights, MO passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Evercare of Edwardsville, IL.
Born on March 13, 1948, in Pekin, IL, she was the daughter of Raymond and Esther (Bauer) Earnest. Diane graduated from East Peoria Community High School in 1966. She embarked on a remarkable 38-year career with Federal Companies, initially at Federal Warehouse in East Peoria and later retiring from Federal Gateway in St. Louis, MO.
A die-hard Cubs fan, Diane relished her time reading and playing the lottery, always hoping for that big win.
Diane is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Gury (Dennis) Konopka of Troy, IL; three sisters, Donna (Wayne) Simmons of East Peoria, Debra (Robert) Blackwell of Pottsboro, Texas, and Dorothy Thompson of East Peoria, along with many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Esther Earnest; brothers, Merlyn and Michael Earnest; and a nephew, Timothy Blackwell.
Diane will be cremated, and a Celebration of her Life will be held later in the year with the date to be determined. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Diane’s name to Taps Animal Shelter, 100 TAPS Ln, Pekin, IL 61554.
