Charles Sleet

Services were held at National Cemetery on May 30, 2012. Charles Darryl Sleet was born February 14, 1951 to Charles Pickney and Mary W. Sleet, both preceded him in death. Charles was baptized at an early age. He attended St. Louis Public Schools and graduated from Soldan High School, June 1969. April 12, 1969, Charles married Willie Louise Sleet. In their union four children were born, Charles Anthony, Carmen Darice, Damon Lavell and Tajaun Ricardo. Charles was a birght man with a very vivid imagination. He was a gifted trumpet player. Charles leaves his wife, children, twelve granchildren: Latosha, Charnay, and Charles Antonio (Charles Anthony) Michael, Makayla, and Myron (Carmen Darice), Damon Jr., Damonic, Damon LaChae', Dinah, and Dhamin (Damon Lavell). Four great-grandchildren. Two sisters: Carolyn Lindsey and Beverly Jones (Michael) both of St. Louis. One brother Bernard Martin (Joyce) of Omaha, Nebraska. Charissa D. Sleet and James Martin, both siblings preceded him in death. A host of nieces, nephews, and an army of cousins.
