Carolyn Jones

Visitation: Thursday, March 3, 2011 11am Bethesda Mennonite (Fellowship) Church, 2823 Dayton Street, St. Louis. Service: 12pm Carolyn Jones was born on October 28, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Charlie and Victoria Jones. Carolyn was the youngest of three children. As a child she was affectionately called BaBa, which continued through her adult life. Carolyn’s mother, father and son, Terryonia Jones, all preceded her in death. Carolyn accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior at a young age. She joined Bethesda Mennonite and remained a member until she became a young adult. She was educated in the Public School system of St. Louis, Missouri. Carolyn loved her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a “people person” and enjoyed having friends and loved ones around her. On Wednesday, February 23, 2011, in St. Louis, Missouri, Carolyn Jones departed this life. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Nakia Jones, Tracy Jones, Danielle Jones and Keiva Jones; her fiancé, Ay McClenton, Sr. and his family, Ay McClenton, Jr., Pebbles Smith and Jimmie Smith; 17 grandchildren; sister, Charline (Henry) Gillespie; two brothers, Nuru (Zalika) Bakari and Walter (Susan) McKnight; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will forever miss her.
