Obituary for Walter Coleman

Walter March Coleman was born on June 20, 1929 to George Coleman and Corinne Knighton in Greensburg, LA. He was preceded in death by both parents and a son, Walter Alonzo Coleman. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. He left Louisiana at an early age to seek employment in St. Louis, Missouri. He started work at the Jewish Sanitorium and retired from the Jewish Hospital. Walter was devoted to his family and his job. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Bernice Donzella Edwards. This union produced (2) children - a son and a daughter, Walter Alonzo Coleman and Sheila Joenet Jones (Clyde). His favorite song was "Work It Out". On Friday morning, Sept 11, 2015 at St. Sophia's Nursing Home, God called him home. In passing, he leaves to cherish his memories - a daughter, Sheila (Clyde); a step-daughter, Betty (Virgil); three grandchildren, Jamie, Samantha (Donald) and Whitney; two sisters, Ella Jean and Lucille; one brother, J.T.; two brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; and a special friend, Ann Stanfield.
