Obituary for Samuel Porter Sr.

Samuel Curtis Porter, Sr. was born August 21, 1967 to Carrie Porter Armour and Samuel Dee Porter in Monroe, Louisiana. He was baptized at an early age in Houston, Texas. He was educated in the Berkeley School District and graduated from Hazelwood East High School. He was employer with Country Inn Hotel in St. Charles, Missouri. Samuel was a loving, kind son, brother, and father and grandfather. He enjoyed grilling, spending time with family and friends. He never met a stranger, always willing to help anyone in need, always had a smile on his face. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dossy James, Sr. and Flossie B. Davis, and his wife, Cynthia Porter. Samuel was the oldest of three children. He leaves to cherish his memories: his lovely mother ~ Carrie Porter Armour of St. Louis, Missouri; stepfather ~ Lynn G. Armour of Pittsburg, Texas; one son ~ Samuel Curtis Porter, Jr. “Lil Sam”; one daughter ~ Shamona Porter of Dallas, Texas; four stepchildren ~ Ayesha, Quantreal, Cedric and Cortez; two brothers ~ Marvin Porter (Pamela) of St. Louis, Missouri and Ron Porter (Nancy) of Jefferson City, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and friends.
