Obituary for Samuel Morgan

Samuel Morgan, 74, of Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020, at 4:15 am at McClay Care Nursing Center in Saint Peters, Missouri. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and devoted husband, and companion of Angela Morgan of 24 years. Samuel graduated from Soldan High School class of 1964. He served his country in the United States Airforce with the Military Police during the Vietnam War; he worked for a short period for General Motors. Later, retiring after twenty-two years as a security supervisor for Barnes Jewish Hospital. He cultivated his skill and became a Master Barber with the family business at Westside Barbershop. Samuel was a pillar in the community and mentored many young men through Matthew Dickey's Boys Club and 100 Black Men of Metropolitan St. Louis. He was a healthcare champion by offering health screenings through his barbershop for Saint Louis University Hospital Community Partnerships in Health Programs.
