Obituary for Russell Flowers

Russell Erwin Flowers was born in St. Louis Missouri. On January 2, 1944 to the union of Richard B. Flowers and Ruby Flowers-Parnell. He attended Elementary and High School in Kinloch, Missouri. He worked for McDonnell Douglas until he was drafted into the Army where he served for two years. Russell was also employed at Combustion Engineering and later retired from Anderson Windows and Doors. Russell was well respected, loved by many and consistently available for his friends and family to offer a helping hand. His passion was loving to dress and he will always be loved and greatly missed. He departed this life on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Christian Northeast Hospital with his daughters and family by his side. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: two daughters ~ Katoya Flowers-Payne (Kevin) St. Louis, Missouri and Raquel Morris, St. Louis, Missouri; three sisters ~ Helen Flowers, St. Louis, Missouri, Violet Flowers, St. Louis, Missouri and Mattilon Vanderhorst, San Jose, California; three brothers ~ James Parnell, Jr., Inglewood, California, Gerald Flowers (Angela) St. Louis, Missouri and Timothy Flowers (Carolyn) Atlanta, Georgia; one future grandson ~ Karter Russell Allen Payne; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and may friends.
