Obituary for Rosa Lee Hughes

Lewis and Frances Hughes were blessed with the birth of their daughter Rosalie Hughes on September 2, 1935 in Crittenden County in Gilmore, Arkansas. Both parents preceded her in death. Rosalie loved her family dearly. Nine siblings preceded her in death. One daughter (Jacquelyn Irving) preceded her in death. One grandson (Gregory Irving) and one great granddaughter (Ashni-Oni Irving) also preceded her in death. Rosalie was employed in the medical field as a nurses’ assistant. Once she was introduced to the Lord she devotedly served Him. She was baptized by Rev. George Guy III at New Paradise M.B. Church. She served in the choir and then went on to serve on the Pastor’s Aide committee. Rosalie later joined Greater St. Paul M.B. Church where she served on both the Pastor’s Aide and the Mother Board. She leaves two sisters Francis Lee Hughes and Catherine Harris as well as one brother John Hughes of Chicago to cherish her memories. She also leaves four sons, Rev. T.D. Irving (Ella), LeAndre Williams (Regina), Lesley Williams (Rosalind), Stacy Williams; four girls, Rosemary Pruitt, Dorothy Hughes, Denise Irving and Tracy Williams. She also leaves 44 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends who will forever remember her. Rosalie also has a special friend (sister) Ethel Ellis who will miss her dearly. Special Thanks to Rosemary and LeAndre for the care they provided as well as Manor Care and the Heartland Hospice Team. Order of Service
