Obituary for Norma Brooks

Born June 18, 1947 to Lahue Bell and Martha Bell, Pastor, Prophetess and Evangelist Norma visited the sick in the hospitals, those needing care in the nursing homes, those needing comfort in the funeral homes, those needing a friend in the work house on Broadway and the prisons. She was God's servant on a Sacred Mission for Jesus, without delay! Pastor, Prophetess and Evangelist Norma successfully organized and commandeered several businesses and adventures while educating her children on succeeding financially, as well as engaging as a Civil Rights Activist strongly advocating for the black man.  On her birthday, June 18, 2018, she quietly slept away and made her transition. She leaves a rich heritage and legacy for her children, family and friends to remember. Her legacy lives on through fond memories of her husband Mr. Jerry Sr. & son Jerry Jr. (Lil man), both whom proceeded her in death, (4) Children: Angela (Gerald) Harris, Leda (Eric) Harris, Mornay (Brian) Ken- nedy and Reggie (Bercile) Brooks,  (10) Grandchildren: Jerry III (Jasmine), Jerlisa, Farad, Quaran, Khadijah, Khaleel, Ashton, Nixon, Heaven Journey Kennedy and Langston Brooks .  (8) Great grandchildren: Jeremiah, Grayson, Savannah, Sahara, Corey Jr., Au- tumn and Kennedy, (3) Aunts: Ora Lee Morris, Jerry Taylor and Clara Thornton, (4) Brothers: Anthony, Terrance, Rufus (Glenda) and Sherman Bell, (3) Sisters: Yvonne Bell, Rachel Gholston and Eula (William) Johnson, (1) Brother-in-Love: Otis (Shirley) St Clair, (2) Sisters-in-Love: Ethel Bell and Mattie Mae (Tony) Bennett of California, Cherished friends Dr. Theodore and Bonita Otti and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends everywhere. We must not forget her friends she has been rolling with for many, many years from a young teen to 40 plus years and the ones she adopted: Carol Davis, Cassie Stoner, Pastor Charles Ewing, Dr. Rose Scott Lusk, Attorney Irene J Smith, Angela Sparks, Demetrius Davis, Katherine Bradford and Joyce Little.
