Obituary for Mary Christine "Honey" Levi (Price)
Mary Christine Levi also known as Honey was born on August 5, 1937 in Brookhaven, MS, to the union of William and Mary Price. Christine accepted Christ at a very early age.
Christine met and married husband Bennie James Levi on June 21,1954. During this union Christine and Bennie had 12 beautiful children and move to St. Louis, Missouri.
Christine worked as a domestic worker for South Side Roofing and caretaker to the Jones children of South Side Roofing for many years.
Christine Levi was a loving, caring, generous, and joyful person. Christine was always willing to go the extra mile and help anyone that she could. Her door was always opened for anyone that needed it. She was a faithful member of Greater New Zion Missionary Baptist Church and served any way she could for many years.
Today our hearts are not broken, but instead filled with love, laughter, and the memories that we were once able to share with Christine.
Christine went to be the Lord on May 31, 2019 at 8:05 am. Christine was welcomed home by a host family and friends that proceeded her in death. Christine was welcomed by her parents William and Mary Price, husband Bennie James Levi, siblings June Hill, Willie Mae Ford (Willie), and Richard Price and three children, Maxine Levi, Deonzie Levi, and Darnell Levi.
Christine leaves a wonderful family to celebrate life: ten children Lorenzo Levi (Rhonda), Lorraine Levi, Angela Levi, Terry Levi, Perry Levi, Sheri Norman (Lawrence), Gerald Levi, Keith Levi (Brenda), and Reginald Levi from her union with Bennie James Levi. One stepdaughter Shameika O’Neil. Adopted son Maurice Gentry and special daughter Lisa Irvin. Six siblings Burnell Price, Gussie “Lil” Jones, David “Dash” Price, Thelma “Jean” Flowers (Andrew), Verna Norwood (Willie), and William “Paul” Price Jr. (Cynthia). Sister-in-law Ida Price and brother-in-law Andre Hill. Christine leaves her special friend Tommy Williams, good friends June, Betty, and Victoria; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Christine leaves her good friends of Great New Zion Missionary Baptist Church and her neighborhood with lots of love and traditions that she hosted throughout the years.
Today we celebrate the life of Christine, because we are thankful to God that he allowed our presence to be graced with such a precious person. We love you and will miss you, but God loved you best.
