Obituary for Jean "Ma Ma" Grayson

Jean Delois Nichols was born on Dec. 18, 1933 in St. Louis, MO to Andrew and Mary Nichols, who preceded her in death.  Jean was the first of seven children born from this union. Two brothers, Andrew and Larry, and four sisters, Florence, Geraldine, Annette who preceded her in death and Shirley Springfield. Jean attended the St. Louis Public Schools and gave her life to Christ at a very early age under the leadership of Rev. Sheppard.  She later joined God's Revealing Tabernacle under the auspices of Rev. Nathaniel Cole where she was a faithful member until declining health. Jean married William McCottrell, who preceded her in death, and out of this union was born ten children.  Gregory, Linda, Denise, Anthony, Michael and Jeffrey preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her sister, her husband, Charles Grayson and remaining children Vickie, Dwight, Adrienne and Joyce, and a special son-in-law Willie, along with 29 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, and 31 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
