Derron E. Brown was born September 6, 1966 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Oliver Brown and Ruth Jean Thurmond. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Jean Thurmond-Brown, one brother, Lester Thurmond and one nephew, Renell Brown. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. He was baptized at Transfiguration Lutheran Church under the pastoral care of Rev. Paul Koch. Derron attended Lutheran and St. Louis Public Schools. He was united in holy matrimony to Corliss Buchanan. For many years he worked as a chef at places such as the Tap Room, Growers and currently at City Life Bar and Grill. His greatest aspiration was becoming a DJ. He was so full of life. He loved family gatherings, especially when he got to BBQ. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Derron departed his life on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Derron leaves to cherish his memories: his father ~ Oliver Brown; three sisters ~ Debra Brown, Rene Brown and Adrienne Renita BrownFox (Andrew); one brother ~ David Brown (Steve) and Corliss Buchanan; four nieces ~ NaTasha, NaTania, Ebonie and Andrea; five nephews ~ Nate, Andre, Troy, Jeremy and Jered; seven great nieces and nine great nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including a special friend ~ Dione Clark.
