Obituary for Annie Wallace

Mrs. Annie Mae Wallace passed away quietly in her sleep at her home in St. Louis, Missouri on October 10, 2017 at the age of 97. She has received the greatest grace of eternal peace with her Lord and Savior where there is no sadness or tears. Annie Mae “Rebecca” was born in Nashville, Tennessee on March 25, 1920 to John Minor League and Emma Jay (Whitely) League. She moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1926 with her father and brother, Ernest after the passing of her mother. Her father and brother preceded her in death. Annie Mae confessed herself to Christ at an early age at Jerusalem Baptist Church in St. Louis, Missouri. She later joined Bethesda Temple under the pastorate of Bishop James A. Johnson. In 2001, Annie Mae became a member of Church on the Rock in St. Peters, Missouri under the leadership of Pastor David M. Blunt. She was also a faithful contributor to TBN and Daystar. Annie Mae was educated in the St. Louis Public Schools through seventh grade. In 1935, Annie Mae married Willie D. Young and to this union one son was born, Willie Young Jr., who preceded her in death. Annie Mae married Albert Wallace in 1948 and to this union one daughter, Barbara was born. Her husband, Albert preceded her in death. Annie Mae was a classy lady who was very fond of jewelry. She brought an aura of calm and serenity wherever she went even in the most stressful of times. In her spare time, Annie Mae enjoyed cooking, spending time with family and watching her programs on TBN, Daystar, CNN and Channel 9. She will be most remembered for her humble, peaceful, kindhearted and loving spirit. Annie Mae would do anything to help anyone in need from speaking words of encouragement, opening up her home, as well as giving financial support. Annie Mae will always be remembered and cherished by: her loving daughter ~ Barbara Ann Wallace of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren ~ Ronnie Young (Leng) of Tacoma, Washington, Willie Young (Sonja) of Kansas City, Missouri, Vivian Young, Barry Young, Clinton Young of San Francisco, California, Lisa Gray (Gerald) and Dr. Tina Hamilton of St. Louis, Missouri; great grandchildren ~ Don’ta , Andre, Tamara, Malik, Rhonda, Shelley (Brandon), Jessica (Brian), Danielle, Daynna, Alicia, Tiffany, Barry Jr., Raunnie, Ryan, Kyle, Aric, Aron and Alyssa; two great grandsons preceded her in death ~ Quincey and Damon; thirteen great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
